Time to Shine – a performing arts festival offering art, workshops and shared experiences for everyone aged 65+

On 30–31 March 2026, the foyer spaces of the Helsinki City Theatre will be filled with the joy of performing arts and meaningful encounters. The festival is aimed for everyone aged 65 and over, offering a free and accessible opportunity to enjoy art together.

Event dates and times: Monday 30 March, 2–7 pm, and Tuesday 31 March, 11 am–5 pm
Event venue: Helsinki City Theatre, Eläintarhantie 5

Time to Shine is produced in collaboration with Helsinki-based cultural organisations. The event showcases a wide range of cultural work taking place across the city. In addition to Helsinki City Theatre, participating organisations include Armas Festival, FloweRescue, KOM-teatteri, Maria Baric Company, Music Theatre Kapsäkki, Myrskyryhmä, Opera Tellus, PerformanceSirkus, Q Theatre, The Finnish Hospital Clowns Association, Senior Info, Sirkus Magenta, Soria Duo, Susanna Leinonen Company, Dance Group Lipstikka, Theatre ILMI Ö., and Yhteisö tanssii.

Further details of the programme will be released in February. Please note that some performances have limited capacity. Tickets for those performances will be available on the day of the event.
