Silence of Ageing: How Arts and Culture Help Confront Loneliness in Later Life – Seminar in March in Helsinki
The 10th anniversary seminar of the Armas-festival, The Silence of Ageing: How Arts and Culture Help Confront Loneliness in Later Life, examines loneliness as a phenomenon that affects us all – especially older people. The seminar explores what loneliness is, how it emerges, and how it impacts our wellbeing. It also highlights the role of arts and culture in addressing and alleviating loneliness in later life.
The seminar will be livestreamed on the Helsinki Channel on Monday, March 30, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM. The link to the seminar will be shared with registered participants at a later date.

The seminar is organised by the Armas-festival, the City of Helsinki, and the The Baring Foundation in cooperation with KAAPELI, the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland, the iCAN International Creative Ageing Network, the British Embassy Helsinki, and the The Japan Foundation, Helsinki.
The seminar is the second international online meeting of the iCAN network.
